The not so long trip home from Dublin, and Air Hockey

A quieter day today, we had a "New York" breakfast which is when you eat on the go. We wandered along the Liffey River and made our way over to the Guinness factory where the sweet nectar of Ireland is made. This was followed by some more souvenir shopping, and then back on the road to Limerick.

The ride home was almost magical considering the past drives. Either I'm getting used to driving or Irish drivers are starting to fear me. I was passing folks left and right today. I think I realized why, in NJ the speed limit is a suggestion, in Ireland it's a magical number never to be attained. It seems like they are not used to highway driveway since there aren't as many highways.

Dinner was at a local fast food chain called Supermacs which is like a McDonald's with a better selection. Also, attached to the place was an arcade which contained the holy grail of games: Air Hockey. A fierce battle was fought by the Miller family and I barely edged out Marlene 7-6. She's really good at this game and considering the way the week has been going at times, we were both thankful that no one was killed by a flying puck during the playing of this game.

So anyway, on this quiet night, I have a few more points I'm going to throw in here:

  • Potato Chips - Called crisps here, they come in the oddest flavors like Cheddar Cheese and Jalapeno, or armadillo with deer flavoring or whatever. You'll rarely find a plain or just salted version of them
  • Driving, yep, they still don't steer away when a vehicle is hurtling towards them.
You know what? Let's leave it at that for today...

Tomorrow, we're doing something but we have no idea what the heck it's going to be.
