So, I think I last posted in April, let's get ourselves all up to speed on events that have occurred since then:
- I got new living room furniture. As many of you (ok, well the 1 person who reads this) say "So What?" I put forward that this is a significant event as it is the first time in 4.5 years that we have actually bought new furniture for the house. Plus it's leather, so it's comfy.
- Went to Live Earth in July. Very cool concert, but the Police weren't as good live as they should have been. Smashing Pumpkins kicked arse, as did Bon Jovi and Roger Waters.
- Purchased a Sony eReader - great toy for dorks like me who like to read but hate carrying about the large books. Plus it's a music player too, making my total amount of music players 3,281 (slightly exaggerated number)
- Transferred departments at work. Less travel overall better environment, and great people to work with.
- Saw Kevin Smith live in Red Bank, NJ where he did one of his infamous Q&A's that will be recorded for a DVD soon. We were in the third row, so I might show up in it. Who knows? Great show though.
- The other half graduated grad school with a Masters in Comp Sci, officially proving that she is far far smarter than I'll ever be since she was programming godlike code in that school program.
- Did a quick trip to Chicago for work in July. Normal insanity ensued as well as my normal stop at the Afterwords bookstore.
- Flew in Tuesday, worked this week, highlights including a trip (shockingly) to Afterwords and my normal haunts of the Lego Store and Borders.
- On the "This can't be Slibocker Writing this blog" front, I also jogged a bit too. Picked up that new hobby fairly recently. It's a good way to see the city. Jogged up the lakefront to Navy Pier then up to Oak Street Beach. Good stuff.
- Spent the day in Michigan City, IN too for an offsite which included stopping at an Outlet mall that had a picturesque view of a cooling tower in the background. Found that oddly amusing.

- We'll see where the rest of the week takes me, we'll be here in Chicago until Tuesday and then off to Cleveland (ROCKS!) and Pittsburgh. I'll be blogging this trip too.
