Where the #$%(&(&(*(&& have I been?

Everywhere, and still many places to go.

Today, it's Dallas. Been here since Sunday night. 36 hours before that, I was in Chicago. 48 hours before that, I was home.

So, at home, what's news?

  • New TV stand!
  • New TV for said new stand!
  • Oh, and new dog it seems...

So, about the TV and stand first. We broke down and finally got a tv we could be proud of, a 40inch Samsung HDTV 1080i. It sure is purty, and looks niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. Got that whole HDTV cable thing going too. Not easily, thanks to said TV Stand of course.

So, when you buy a TV stand, what's one thing you would a tv stand for have?

How about holes big enough for wires to fit through. Hooked up to this TV are (now):
  • Tivo (well, ReplayTV techinically)

  • Cable Box

  • XBOX 360

  • Nintendo Wii

  • DVD player that plays basically anything you put in it. Seriously, it'll even play a pie, I swear...
So, a lot of cables, most of them not small had to be run through the stand. Well, it was attempted, and after the purchase of a real drill (I needed a new one) and some bits to drill big holes, I did it. Ugh.

But, the TV sure is sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Oh, and the dog, well, we seem to have adopted my neighbor's highly feisty yet highly amusing Pekinese entitled Bombon, for reference, here is a picture of said creature:

He's an interesting one, but more on him in the future...

Moving right along, I'm in the middle of what I have entitled the haul, starting last Wednesday, October 24, and continuing through November 16, I'm taking my show on the road. My stops on this tour are:

  • Oct 24-26 (that actually became the 27th due to a late flight) - Chicago

  • Oct 28-31 - Dallas, TX

  • Nov 1 - New York, NY (had to come back to see Bon Jovi in Newark, oh and do work in NYC as well)

  • Nov 4-8 - Phoenix, AZ

  • Nov 13-14 - Detroit, MI

  • Nov 14-16 - Grand Rapids, MI

No rest for the weary in this time period, and good luck to me trying to figure out where the heck I'm staying/flights/all that related stuff.

On the past weekend I was home, in my full 36 hours I was home, I:

  • Cleaned the house

  • Went to a Halloween party

  • Had a bad stomach virus

The second bullet was good, the rest weren't. My costume? Luke Skywalker in the morning. Picture me in pajamas, robe, and a backpack with Yoda (see a few posts down for that). It was quite amusing. The virus, wasn't.

Luckily, I literally felt better about 2 hours before I left for the airport on Sunday.

Plenty more adventures await me, but I shall tell of them as they happen on the Haul...
