Today, I turned my steering wheel a lot

The title isn't a metaphor, or innuendo, or anything like that. Today, I did turn my steering wheel more than I ever did, ever. Today, we took the road to Hana.

Yesterday we were in a dormat volcano, today, we drove around the forests on the outside of yesterday's volcano. The road to Hana is twisty, very very very very very twisty. Here's how twisty it is. You know when kids play with a steering wheel and they turn it left and right really quickly? That's what I did in real life today. Picture driving 30 miles and having about 3 stretches of straight road the entire time. That's the road to Hana. So yes, you keep making turns and curves and all that. And, you do it on a very non-wide road. Only some of the time do two cars fit side by side on the road. There are a ton of 1 lane bridges, yields, and just plain 'ole tight roads.
Great scenery, but very stressful driving.

Here, take a look:

So, while the road to Hana is cool, it's also a pain in the arse. We did stop at some waterfalls along the way. Waterfalls are pretty. We also stopped at a black sand beach, and yes, the sand was black. Pix will come up at some point. In Hana itself, we found a hidden path and found a red sand beach too. Cool stuff.

Driving back, I had the hang of the road down, so I was zipping along. Like in Bourne movie.
We stopped for a really cool pork taco along the way and bought some coconut candy at a roadside stand. Overpriced, but good. Hit the spot.

Coming back, we made our way back to the hotel, and spent a few hours on the beach. Also, got yesterday's blog up, was a tad behind due to some internet issues at the hotel. Dinner was on the balcony again watching the sunset.

Tonight, we're just chilling.

Tomorrow, apparently, we're taking a helicopter tour.

Like I said earlier, just getting over my fear of heights on this trip.
