My kind of...Holy Cats! It's FREEZING here!!!

Welcome to Chicago! The signs say, well, not really. But, here I am in the windy city. Or, as they're calling it here this week, Antarctica. Ok, I now know that the next time I say it was cold in NY, I will bang my head against the wall in penance because THIS is cold here. A mere -4 degrees (with windchill, that made it like -25 degrees, Fahrenheit) as I went to work this morning, walking the warm streets of Chicago. It has warmed up to a balmy 0 degrees. It's so warm out now in comparison, I'm thinking of having a barbeque.

But I like Chicago. It's a good city, good food, good places to go (well not to walk to this week) and good people. Today was all about work, but we did manage to get over to Maggiano's where I had a great lobster ravioli. This place was good, not a sacrilege to Italian food the way that Olive Garden is. Although if you treat Olive Garden as a place that serves food that is ok, but not Italian then it's fine. Like saying that Domino's Pizza is good, but not really pizza, if that makes any sense.

Anyway, because I'm insane, and I am, it's been proven. I decided that we should walk over to my favorite bookstore in Chicago after-words on e. Illinois. Oddly, my co-worker, who I had dinner was up to this. It was only a 3 block walk and no one died walking to it, so I got lucky. If you're in Chicago, and you like books, go here. There's a basement there filled with used books. I bought too many as usual.

There won't be too much sightseeing on this trip as there's A) No time B) Did I mention how frakkin' cold it is here? But, you never know...
