Miles, as in over 300 miles as in how long we drove today to get back to the lovely Garden State.
Got up early and headed out since we wanted to get back here before everyone on the east coast makes their weekly pilgrimage to the Jersey Shore.
Once we figured out the maze that is Pittsburgh, we made it onto the Pennsylvania Turnpike which is as exciting as the NJ Turnpike without the charm. Basically 300 miles straight. Cool parts included the 4 tunnels that bore straight through mountains. Kinda like my attitude in life, why go around when you can go straight through?
Today's drive, not exhilarating. But that's becuase I think I'm beat. Tomorrow, I'll cobble together the summary for this trip and various other notes. I hope to be conscious then, that might help.
Quick note though. I swear the big storms in Chicago are NOT my fault. I know that usually they are. But not this time. I promise.
Song that's stuck in my head: 5 O'Clock World by the Dave Clark 5. Go figure.
Check back tomorrow, pictures and mirth will ensue...
