Phoenix - 2008 Act 1, Scene 1

Greetings from Phoenix, where it's so hot here, to cool down, people go to Hell as it's actually cooler there.

Busy day today.

Up at 4:30, cab to airport at 5, plane left at 7AM and GOT IN ON TIME!!!! Flight was uneventful, although I did watch the Bourne Supremacy yet again.

Landed, got my bags, got my rental (a PT Cruiser in a cream/tan shade) saw that it had an aux jack and plugged my ipod in. Came to the Wyndham Hotel downtown. Room wasn't ready so I walked over to the office which is only a block away. Worked for a few hours, then headed 6 miles over to Target to buy candy for upcoming classes. A case of water, some bananas and some hot wheels cars (I dont know why it seemed like a good idea at the time) were purchased.

Back to hotel since leaving the candy in the car would = candy murder when the temp outside is just shy of 120 degrees. But it is a dry heat so you can actually breathe the air.

Back at the room, I decide that I need to go out again, so I follow my latest ToddQuest: To go to the McFarlane toys (they make the really detailed sports, Halo and other figures) showroom store in Glendale, which is where the superbowl was held this year. The store was really cool and they had a big sale, so you can imagine that damage was done. Walked over to a Japanese Restaurant called Kabuki (www.kabukirestaurants.com) and had dinner there.

After dinner, I found the most amazing store, the Cabela's (http://www.cabelas.com) outdoors store, where they have everything related to doing stuff outdoors. The darned place had a mini museum and an aquarium. I took pix and will post upon my return to NJ. Truly a magical experience.

Took the long way back to the hotel, and apparently thinking I hadn't done enough, I ran on the treadmill at the hotel for a while.

Then this blog.

Ok, so it's been a long day.

I'm done for now.

Work tomorrow.
