Cleveland rocks?
Can't quite verify that statement yet. We're here in Cleveland staying at the Hampton Inn right in the middle of town, and the city is very quiet. I'm talking Zombie movie quiet, as in the streets are deserted when you walk around and the zombies are in the buildings plotting their next move involving your brains. We'll see how tomorrow plays out in that respect. I should survive any zombie attack since I've been told (by many people reading this blog in fact) that brains are a scarcity in my head. Marlene on the other hand, is toast, I'm always telling everyone that she's the brains of the operation. So, while if we are attacked by zombies I will do my very best to protect her, I can only hold them off for so long, then they'll be feasting on Marlene brains. You know, they don't cover zombie attacks generally, but I'll have to research that.
Ok, so on the off chance there are no zombie attacks, we plan on visiting the Rock and Roll hall of fame, Jacobs Field, and who knows what else.
Today, pretty straightforward, woke up, picked up rental, drove to Cleveland. We pretty much drove it straight through on I90. Going through Illinois for about 30 seconds, Indiana for much longer and a bunch of Ohio. Now, I'm sure Indiana is a great state. But, alas, we did not stop anywhere there as there weren't any attractions along I 90 that yelled "go here!"
By the way, the car we got is a Pontiac G6 which handles quite well on the road and feels very comfortable to drive.
Anyway, upon arrival in Cleveland, we walked around for a bit and ate dinner at the Cleveland Chop House - Good beer, good food.
Driving wasn't too bad either, very straight, very flat. Nothing exciting. 345 miles went quick. Relatively. I guess I can do this road trip thing. Interesting.
So that's where we are today. Let's see where tomorrow takes us...
